While eating pasta served with basil butter last night I came to the realization that if I had to pick one food group to eat for the rest of my life, it would be pasta. This is an indication of how utterly nerdy I am, and I don't take pride in it, especially since I'm supposed to be in training to become a food "authority." Just a lightbulb moment. As far as comfort foods go, pasta with butter and parmesan or a simple pesto is about as good as you can get. It only gets better from there.

Mmmm, we're into pasta with shrimp, herby tomatoes, parmesan, green onions and lots of parsley.

I know an endorsement from me isn't going to make the whole "nerd" thing any better, but I have to agree with you about how wonderful pasta is.

Ha--it actually might make the "nerd" thing better: now it's official.

Hmmm… maybe I should make some kind of certification exam.

I've never been that big into pasta, but I made it from scratch for the first time last year and found just how much of a flavor pasta can actually have on its own.
I was reading food blogs the other day (ok, like I do everyday) and this one was on butternut squash pasta.
I'm there.
Love that you're posting more now!
