The Shock Doctrine

This is my 50th post! How thrilling. If you aren't familiar with the short film "The Shock Doctrine" you should check it out. There's a book by the same name that I have not yet read, but when I get my hands on a copy I'll let you know the details.

In other news I had the great privilege of going to a talk given by one of the original Guerilla Girls tonight. I feel inspired to create my own subversive literature now, preferably in the form of a small zine or some such medium. It's all downhill from here, kids. Next thing you know I'll be sipping cheap red wine from some dark cellar while feverishly hammering away on an Underwood typewriter and distributing leftist propaganda to dissidents. The thing about activists is that if you put more than one of them in a room together you're asking for trouble. I've been living with my bleeding-heart/activist boyfriend for some time now, and it's almost frightening how far to the left we've gone simply as a result of being in one another's company constantly. Bedtime.
