Bake a huge batch of cookies and take a couple to everyone you know that might need a cookie (a.k.a. everyone you know). Cookies aren't pretentious and are definetely within the top five comfort foods of all time.
I am thankful for handmade paper; the way it crinkles in my hands. I am more careful with my work when I use handmade paper because every inch of it is precious.
Note: The cookie recipe below is excellent for today's save-the-world project. It makes a huge batch and can be tailored to allergies and preferences.
