Save the World: Scratch a dog on the small of its back--a very difficult place to scratch if you happen to be a dog.

Amazing how much life a plant can bring to a small space. I had to leave two potted herb plants at home because they were growing spindly and yellow in the meager light coming through my dorm room window. But bamboo is amazing and resilient even in a dorm room. That one plant is enough to lighten the heaviness of the yellow glare of the fluorescent light.
